Get answers to common questions about Chemical Peel.

During your appointment, we cleanse, apply the multi-acid peel, and monitor skin. You may feel tingling or warmth; treatment lasts about 30–45 minutes. Post-care includes soothing products and SPF application to protect newly revealed skin and aid healing.

Many clients notice smoother, brighter skin after one session; optimal results often require a series of 3–6 peels spaced 2–6 weeks apart depending on skin concerns. Your esthetician will create a personalized plan based on skin type and goals.

We perform a thorough consultation and patch test. Lower-strength formulations prioritizing lactic and mandelic acids may be recommended for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin. Some clients require alternative treatments; safety and comfort guide our customized approach.

Downtime varies by strength — mild peels may cause minimal redness and flaking for a few days; deeper peels can produce peeling and sensitivity for up to a week. We provide aftercare, gentle cleansers, and SPF to support healing and comfort.

Contraindications include pregnancy, active cold sores, recent isotretinoin use, open wounds, certain skin infections, or recent aggressive treatments. We review medical history and medications during the consultation to ensure safety and recommend alternatives when peels aren’t advised.

Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, and harsh exfoliants for two weeks prior. Discontinue retinoids and certain topical acids per our pre-care guidance. Arrive with clean skin; your esthetician will review pre-care steps to minimize irritation and maximize results.
